technology
The wonderful thing about technology nowadays - specifically referring to phone calls - is that it makes everything seem so close! It fools you into thinking that Singapore is just 2 secs away coz that's how long it takes someone to pick up the phone. That I'm still in Kembangan talking to everyone just where I left them. The only thing that could mebbe clue you in is the fact that your phone bill would skyrocket! Then again, there's this other invention meant to fool you into believing you're closer than you actually are. The thing called calling cards. Where it costs like, 5 cents a minute to call Singapore. Or for Singapore to call Germany. That's like cheaper than my handphone!! holy cow!! Alas, all this methods of trickery don't work on me. =( I'm too smart for that. I know that Singapore is far far away, and some things I just cannot wait to have back again. Actually right, I don't really miss Singapore per say? Those *things* are mobile. What with new hi-tech things like SpeedPost and DHL and Singapore Airlines. ;) Well, I mean I don't miss Singapore that much YET! Other than the 24hr makan places, and the food that's always on the table and the clothes that magically appear cleaned in the cupboard and the wireless access in my room. ;) Not that much. Still having way too much fun here walking arnd, learning about planes, flying planes (in simulations now, which is like daytona for planes projected onto an entire wall complete with cockpit, but soon to be in a real real plane that can fit me and my flight instructor *fingers crossed* hurhurhur.) So I'm sorta aiming for my 4-day week now. Stayed in the office till 8pm today coz my boss was teaching me ALL the theory behind lift and drag. And how all the stuff we learnt in JC was rubbish (which i already found out in nus anwyay). Or maybe a 4-and-a-half-day week. Else I'll do a 5 day week this week and take a 5 day weekend nxt week. ;) Depending on how much they need me and how much i get done! I love deadlines! Haha. Coz after deadlines you're free to do pretty much whatever you want!! Including travelling. Hee. =) I need a travel buddy!! Will everyone please hurry up and start your internship or finish your exams or get better or whatever!! Obop!! Tell me when I can go to London again!! spance!! Hurry up and come here leh. Wanna show someone else the cool airplanes!! Erm, the other people in my current geographical field of influence I don't have to mention here coz they don't even know this site exists. Haha. Ok. C-c-c-O-l-d now. Gonna go start work. Haha. Workaholic. I know. But it's all about seeing the bigger picture. (Switzerland one weekend. France the next. Maybe the Netherlands after that. And on and on it goes. Hee.)
