left a part of me in czech. =(
Prague The only thing I didn't quite like about Prague was the sheer number of tourists running about. True, that's the only reason the shops stay open till midnight, but still. To have as many people on the bridge at midnight as there are at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon in Orchard Road is a bit much. But it reminded me of home nonetheless. Especially the lights. Another thing that reminded me of home was that the prices were so comparable, sometimes even cheaper. But odddly enough this was the place where both time AND money seem to disappear. As in, before you knew it, it was time to move on, or like we were late for this train, or smth. And we seemed to have SO MUCH time while planning!! And money. Haha. It seemed to run out from under us! For no apparent reason at all. Oh wells. The streetlamps and the orange glow mean it's a place MUCH prettier at night. In the day, it's like any other city in Europe with the old quaint buildings, and the churches, and the pretty skyline. Maybe I am biased. But I like Munich better in the day for sure. Then again, I haven't seen Prague all buried under snow. That is something on my to-do list. Prague in Winter. All the other attractions might be closed. But what the hey. =) I need to see Prague under a white blanket!! Cesky Krumlov Another place I have to get back to! Thanks to the dinky delay, we barely had any time here in this quaint lil medieval village! The castle theatre was closed, the knights tournament started the next day. It was just not fated. Haha. Or maybe it was. For me to come back another day. ;) Gorgeous outdoor rotating theatre in the castle gardens too!! Kutna Hora Something that I will really remember forever. The chapel with ornaments made of human bones. *shudder* worth every minute of travel time. Didnt get to go down the mine shafts. But oh wells. Seeing a human chandelier would be enough. For now. =p ---- It's odd you know. When I went skiing in Innsbruck and it came time for me to leave, I left. I wanted to stay, of course, but I mean, I knew it was time to go. I did what I had to do, and it was time to move on. When I went for the world cup in Berlin / Leipzig it was the exact same thing. Usually, when it's time to go, I go. I might miss the places, sure, but it's one of those things where you know your job there is done. More or less. This time however, as I drew out of Prague past midnight, passing by the bright lights that reminded me so much of Singapore, I felt... incomplete. I don't know, like I had left something unfinished. I mean, I know I left something behind - my poor little Koosh kin - but it didn't leave this kind of feeling. There was so much more to see, so much more to do!
