who says girls can't read maps!
it's not that i haven't been going anywhere. it's that i've been doing too many other things to have time to sit down and update the bloggie! and to take photos. and to upload photos. i promise i will try to do it more often. although now, with my new toy, i might not be taking all that many photos. and it's a lil hard to upload videos u know? =p well, since the world cup was over till now, i've gone to st. gallen to see spance off and collect 200 tarts, then to zurich to erm, bumm around for a super extended weekend. and then last week, i got another 200 tarts! whheee!! and last weekend, i was driving arnd southern germany in a SmartCar. Hehe. Its super spacious, and i really mean that, not just coz it fits me. It's even spacious for an ang moh! Of course, there is barely any space in the trunk for my huge suitcase. so. *-) AND! I found somewhere that lets me rent a mini coop for a day for just €25! Coolness or what! (If I wanna drive the smart within munich alone its only €1. Cheaper than taking public transport, especially since the Smart really sips petrol!) We drove about 650km in like, 2-3 days, and only topped up the tank to 30 euros i think. Talk about efficiency!! So anyway, we were just driving around with ME being the map reader. Muahahah. Coz I was 2 mnths too young to drive long distance. Age limit was 23 years. =( So we went to a coupla mountains, a coupla castles, went trekkign up this lil thingie in heaven knows where, went to a lil lake somewhere. don't know their names but if you give me a map i can trace our route down for you and point out where we stopped. ;) But! Anyhows. The point is, the day I decided I had to try out the Smart Car, obviously someone else had to read the map. And I have to say, I am much better at reading maps. =p So I think I shall stick to that. Unless of course I already know the way to where we are going. In which case, the Autobahn is über fun! No speed limit!! Hahaha. Going at 120kmh I am already considered crawling. But seeing as to how I am not insured when I drive it... Better not go too fast. =p No matter. I will be back in Oct AFTER my birthday to test my limits. ;) Coz then i will be insured. My boss is of the opinion that I should try and get my hands on a Porsche or BM or something to test drive on the Autobahn. Haha. =P We shall see. =) Anyhows. All in all, driving is fun! Or rather, being the one directing the driver is fun. Whahahah. And I love pointing somewhere and saying, I wanna stop here! Let's go down! And not having anything planned, and not having anyone get upset that we aren't going straight to our destination, or that we take lil detours to go visit antique markets along the way. Haha. Methinks these 2+ months will be fun! =) Off to Prague tomorrow. *grins* I wish I could see it in winter all covered in snow though, like in all those vampire movies. Haha. Oh wells, I will just have to settle for Winter-like temperatures. *shudder* random point: i was here when they had the greatest snowfall in what, 600 years? and then this summer, it was the hottest June/July in 300 years. And now, in a course of 2 weeks, the difference in AVERAGE temperature, (Average, mind u, not the difference btwn the highest and lowest), is more or less 20 degrees. Faint. 2 weeks ago its was an average of 32 degrees. Now, outside, it's 13 degrees (today's low is sposed to be 11, and the max temp last week was 36 or 37, so if u take total fluctutations, its 25!! which is the total temp of singapore now. haha. =p)
